The People’s Revival

The job of any believer, and this goes ten times over for those who claim to be preachers, during a time when fascism and autocracy rears its head, is to advocate and to protect the most vulnerable in a society.

The world is bone-tired of your sermons, and slogans, and marketing campaigns. They are struggling right now with felt needs, things like having a roof, and eating, and having all of the utilities on at the same time – and you’re taking up collections like nothing has changed.

Some of you preachers have actually advocated from the PULPIT for a political movement that has hurt those that Christ loves the most.

These immigrants, and your treatment of them, is one of the determining factors in gaining entrance to the eternity in “Heaven” that you purport to believe in.

Some of you have remained mostly quiet, busying yourselves with whatever calling you believe God has on you, and you have not wanted to ruffle feathers, because you attract more flies with honey… whatever. You know what attracts the most flies?

Bullshit.

You’re complicit. Your advocacy for the suburbs and the nuclear family has made you active enemies of the poor and the workers. They don’t matter because we all know the church judges your value by your donation amounts.

I stand against fascism because I stand with the people. The real people, those that never have lived up to your standards. If a Democrat hurt the vulnerable, I would attack them with the same zeal that I have towards the Republicans now.

There will never be a better time for you to lead by shifting all of your focus now to those that God has a preferential love for – the least of us.

God have mercy on the cowards at this time in the world.
