The 12th Mark: Stand With the Marginalized

Principle

We are living under the twin fangs of late-stage capitalism and resurgent fascism. Capitalism grinds the worker to dust, devouring every hour, every wage, every scrap of dignity. Fascism stalks the streets, emboldened by fear and hatred, draped in flags and false religion. Together they strip away rights, silence voices, deport workers, erase diversity, and crucify the marginalized for profit and control.

And the church? It has let the heresy of Christian nationalism infiltrate its pulpits. It baptizes capitalism’s greed as “blessing” and fascism’s hatred as “holiness.” It waves the flag beside the cross, as if Christ Himself ever marched behind empire. They rail against the LGBTQ+, immigrants, and the poor, while lining their pockets and cozying up to power. This is not faith — it is treason against the Kingdom of God.

The People of the Light are not neutral. We are embassies of the Kingdom in a hostile world. Each hub is a frontline outpost, a first line of defense. We do not retreat, and we do not negotiate with oppression. We stand with the poor, the working class, the LGBTQ+, the immigrant, the outcast. We protect, we empower, we give voice. We bear the cost without flinching, because this is the Kingdom’s war against darkness.

How We Walk It Out

Personally:

Stand in solidarity. Your race, gender, or orientation is not a dividing line — the worker’s struggle is one struggle. Stand shoulder to shoulder with all who resist. Reject Christian nationalism. Refuse their idol of flag-and-cross. Name it for what it is: heresy, blasphemy, and a counterfeit gospel. Defend at cost. Do not look away when ICE raids, when fascists harass, when laws silence the vulnerable. Be the one who steps forward, no matter the risk.

Together in Hubs:

Embassies of defense. Patrol our neighborhoods. Walk children to school. Escort elders. Shelter immigrants. Guard against fascist intimidation and state violence. Embassies of grace. Feed the hungry. Clothe the poor. Provide diapers, formula, rent aid, bail money, legal help. Do right before speaking right. Embassies of truth. Teach workers their worth. Teach neighbors their power. Refuse silence when DEI is gutted, when free speech is censored, when the poor are scapegoated. Collective solidarity. Workers of every race, orientation, and background fight as one family — against landlords, bosses, and bigots alike.

As Resistance:

Against late-stage capitalism. We reject endless hours, starvation wages, debt slavery, and housing theft. We redistribute resources to the people empire has drained. Against fascism. We confront its propaganda in the streets, its intimidation in our neighborhoods, and its false religion in the pulpits. Against Christian nationalism. They shout patriotism from pulpits while betraying Christ. We answer with mercy, solidarity, justice, and fearless confrontation. Their faith is fear — ours is freedom. For the Light. Our tone is not hatred, but fire. Our stance is not submission, but defiance. Our belief is not in empire’s survival, but in the Kingdom’s victory.

Reclaim & Redistribute

We reclaim faith from nationalism. We reclaim hope from fascism. We reclaim labor’s dignity from capitalism’s grind. We reclaim belonging from pulpits that exclude. And we redistribute power — in leadership, in resources, in voice — to the marginalized until they stand at the center, leading the march of the Kingdom.

The Stand-Out Truth

Christ never sanctified empire. He never called wealth a blessing or nationalism a faith. He sided with the poor, the broken, the foreigner, the sinner, the outcast. He said the last shall be first. He stood against religious leaders who partnered with power and called them vipers.

But America worships wealth and nation, and the church mirrors it. Christian nationalism is the great heresy of our age — a false Christ draped in empire’s colors. It blesses oppression, mocks justice, and crucifies the marginalized again in His name.

This must end. To stand with the marginalized is to fight capitalism’s greed and fascism’s violence head-on. It is to expose Christian nationalism as betrayal. It is to be embassies of the Kingdom, the first line of defense for the vulnerable. The poor, the worker, the LGBTQ+, the immigrant — they are the center, the heartbeat of the Kingdom of God. And we will not abandon them, no matter the cost.
